Kirkby Stephen Easter Rally - Sunday 8th April & Sunday 9th April 2023

Easter 2023 sees the return of the Cumbria Easter Rally showcasing classic and vintage commercial vehicles across Brough, Kirkby Stephen and surrounding area. A highly anticipated event in the area, local traders in the towns also join in on the event celebrations.


There will be displays of classic and vintage commercial vehicles on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th April including buses, lorries, tractors and much more across the local villages with free transport across the site. We will be attending both days of the event.

    Leyland National 51 - Saturday 29th April 2023

    After a hugely successful 50th anniversary event last year, Workington Transport Heritage Trust are hosting LN51 from the harbourside of Whitehaven. Originally to celebrate the much loved Leyland National, the event quickly grew to celebrate all things Leyland.


    With heritage buses, commercial vehicles and vintage cars on display, there will be free bus tours and free park and ride. Other attractions include; exhibitor stalls, local traders, fairground and much more for the whole family. Everything Leyland National... and much, much more!

      NEBPT Metrocentre Bus & Coach Show - Sunday 7th May 2023

      The popular North East Bus & Coach Show hosted by the North East Bus Preservation Trust (NEBPT) is back again this year, and is the first and always highly anticipated show in the NEBPT calendar.


      The event attracts a wide variety of preserved vehicles from across the North of England, as well as from local bus companies in the area. With exhibitor stalls and vintage bus tours, the event also coincides with Go North East's Riverside depot open day (TBC).

        RVPT Morecambe Running Day - Sunday 21st May 2023

        The Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust will again be operating its popular ‘Vintage Bus Running Day’ in Morecambe. With a selection of vintage buses, many from the old local Ribble Company, RVPT will operate a FREE service from Carnforth railway station, Bare Lane Station, Happy Mount Park and Heysham Village to the Morecambe Football Club & Promenade every 10/15 minutes.


        As well as a display of vintage buses and coaches at the football club and on the Promenade, there will also with open top tours subject to good weather.

          The West Cumbria Vintage Club Rally Distington - Sunday 2nd July 2023

          Now in its 40th year and one of the largest one day events in Cumbria, The West Cumbria Vintage Club Rally has been held at Hayes Castle Farm since it started. From buses to bicycles, trucks to tractors, cars to classic motorcycles then event is well attended for all hobbyists.


          Showcasing some of the best vintage vehicles in the county and beyond, last year was one of the best ever, with over 450 entrants from as far away as Yorkshire and Warrington attracting hoards of visitors. The event normally has exhibitor stalls, refreshment stands and local traders.

            Barrow Festival of Transport - Saturday 15th July 2023

            The Barrow Festival of Transport takes place in Barrow’s town centre and will see a wide range of vehicles line the streets in the heart of the town. The event attracts a wealth of vehicles, including buses, trucks, commercial vehicles and emergency vehicles. As well as; classic cars, vintage cars, prestige cars and modern classics, classic motorcycles and electric vehicles - all of which will be located in various areas of the town.


            The event also hosts a range of attractions and entertainers, including; funfair rides, ride-on vehicles, street entertainers and live music, making this FREE event a great family day out in Cumbria.

              Silloth Vintage Rally - Saturday 23rd July 2023

              Now in its 23rd year, The Silloth-on-Solway Vintage Rally takes place on Silloth Green, at the very heart of the town. The popular rally attracts hundreds of exhibits each year, varying over the years with the display of steam engines, vintage cars, motorbikes, tractors, commercial & military vehicles and stationary engines continuing to grow each year. 


              The Green also see exhibitor stalls, refreshment stands and local trade - don't forget to visit Silloths Amusement Arcade. A fantastic two day event, we will be attending on Sunday 23rd July.

                NEBPT Seaburn Historic Vehicle Display - Monday 28th August 2023

                Held on the last August bank holiday, the Seaburn Historic Vehicle Display is the final rally in the North East Bus Preservation Trust's events calendar for the year. Held on Seaburn's Recreation Ground, vintage vehicle owners from across the area descend on Seaburn sea front. There will be a display of more than 100 vehicles including vintage buses, classic cars, trucks and military.


                With nostalgic rides on buses from yesteryear along the seafront, there will also be stalls selling toys, refreshments, models, books, photographs and other transport-related items.

                  Beamish Autumn Transport Gala  - Saturday 9th or Sunday 10th September 2023 (TBC)

                  Transport of all types and sizes will be in action around the Beamish site as well as on display in several locations around the museum. As well as attending vehicles from outside of the museum, there will be fantastic working transport exhibits from Beamish's own collection.


                  Vehicles will be in action around the 350-acre site, as well as on display in several locations. There will be an array of road steam engines, motorcars and motorcycles, bicycles, trams, buses and railway locomotives.
